More Wheat then Weeds; Finding Joy in Our Hearing Loss Journey

In this session Amanda Linscheid and her tween daughter Evy will share their family’s experience; from hearing loss diagnosis to where they are today. Their family motto of “More Wheat Than Weeds” had been a central theme in their journey. As farm families they view wheat as the bouthy of life and weeds as challenges in life's journey. As a family of 5 the Linscheid family has found joy in their hearing loss journey. From finding resources in very rural Wisconsin to creating a community of support, they will share their tips and tricks with you. Attendees will leave feeling inspired by one family's perspective and lightheartedness that is woven throughout their hearing loss journey.

  • Identify ways of creating community.
  • Success with early detection and intervention.
  • Shifting perspective of hearing loss for the entire family.
