Navigating EHDI system Through MultiCultural Lens
Ensuring educational equity requires the intentional design of supports, resources, and services to meet the needs of families with deaf and hard of hearing children who identify as black, indigenous, people of color (BIPOC). As a biracial deaf educator, and mother to a deaf son, Rosa Lee explores the EHDI system through a multi-cultural lens of both personal experience and professional knowledge. Join her to leave with multiple key takeaways on how you can support these systemic improvements through shared knowledge, cultural awareness, and collective learning.

Rosa Lee is a deaf biracial educator and a mother of two young children (11, 9) from Maryland. Before she became Chief Marketing Officer/Division President, CSD Social Venture Fund, her education track began at Indiana School for the Deaf, and then she went on to graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. She received her Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling on Deafness from Western Oregon University shortly after. Her career consists in being a Toddler Teacher, Children and Family Specialist, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Adjunct Professor, Marketing director, and Performance Artist. Besides work, she enjoys signing songs in American Sign Language.
