PBIS in Secondary Schools
Wondering if PBIS can really succeed in a secondary school setting? This session will review how systematic implementation of PBIS can benefit students and teachers in secondary schools, including those in alternative settings, and can create a proactive school climate and structure. We will share practical ideas and activities for gaining staff and student buy in as well as how to maintain momentum, move towards sustainability and progress into Tier 2. We will review stages of implementation and how to shore up your system whether you are just exploring implementation, or have been working on your system for awhile.
- Attendees will be able to identify the benefits of PBIS in secondary schools
- Attendees will be able to learn from a district wide approach to implementing PBIS
- Attendees will be able to reflect on the current culture of their school and identify ways to improve

Tracy began her career teaching English and has worked in Granite School District at the secondary level for close to 30 years. She is currently the lead Secondary PBIS/MTSS in the district office supporting PBIS in our secondary schools.
