Survivin' Thrivin' with a 70% Chance of Rain
In your school, you have students at risk for dropping out, violence, drug use, gang affiliation, depression, anxiety, suicide and other behaviors that may take them away from being successful in school and life. Some people in your building are low-risk students with low-risk needs, low-risk students with high-risk needs, high-risk students with high-risk needs and high-risk students with low-risk needs. This presentation will give hands-on strategies how Restorative Practices can truly reach ALL your students and build critical relationships to allow administrators, teachers and staff to teach academic concepts and critical life skills.
- To demonstrate how restorative practices can prevent conflict and restore relationships after conflict arises.
- To demonstrate how techniques and strategies can reduce time spent on discipline referrals and allow administrators time to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
- To introduce restorative practices techniques that can enhance a positive school climate and culture.
