Go Out On a Limb - Forestry Education
Forestry is a key commodity in 13 southern states providing an economic impact in the billions. Arkansas Project Learning Tree has been providing forestry workshops for classroom teachers for over 25 years focusing on the environmental, ecological, and economic benefits of forestland and timber industries in the state. These 2-day workshops offer presentations, forest field trips, and guided mill tours to provide firsthand information and background that can be shared with students when teaching about trees, forest health, sustainable forestry, and forestry-related careers.
