You Say Tomato, I Say Tomatosphere: Space Seeds in the Classroom
Providing sufficient food and air for future space travelers will be essential – and challenging. Tomatosphere uses the excitement of space in award-winning, STEM-driven curriculum to teach students about plant science and get them interested in agriculture. Over 3,000,000 students have contributed to human survival in space research through Tomatosphere since 2011 and enrollment increases every year. Participation is free and opens the door to starting other seed-related projects in the classroom. FTSF will present Tomatosphere & 3 other standards-based seed programs that are provided free of charge and can easily be implemented into existing curricula.
