Relationship Efficacy as a Mediator Between Stress and Couple Satisfaction

The purpose of the present study is to examine the extent relationship efficacy mediates the association between stress and relationship satisfaction. Our sample consists of 939 individuals who are between 18-70 years old and currently in a romantic relationship. Following the mediation analysis outlined by Baron and Kenny (1981), we found that relationship efficacy did fully mediate the relationship between stress and couple satisfaction, F (2,900) 214.96, p=<.001).
