Games and Lesson about agriculture in your state!

Presentation will be about different games presented to 3rd-6th grade students on the important of Farming and Agriculture and your state. Although from Illinois, we'll use the State Facts from www.agclassroom.org and will show you activities that can be easily adapted to your state. Come and play and learn and take home activities to implement at the state of the school year and all year long. We'll include topics of grains, maps, natural resources, pumpkins, water, and general trivia. This will be an action packed time for all involved.

Susan Kleiboeker (), Illinois Ag in the Classroom, agintheclass@att.net;
Susan Kleiboeker-14 year veteran for Ag in the Classroom Coordinator for Clinton County, IL. Kleiboeker has a K-9 teaching certificate from Eastern IL University. She has lived in Clinton Co for the past 29 years with her husband Mark, who works as a cattle broker and barn manager for United Producers, Inc. The Kleiboekers have beef cattle and grain farm in Carlyle, IL and have 3 daughters. Susan goes into all the first and fourth grade classrooms in Clinton Co, IL and presents lessons about Agriculture and Conservation of our earth. Over the years Susan has taught a variety of grades and lessons and enjoys children of all ages and sizes. Ag in the Classroom is a wonderful entity to work for because it combines Susan's love of children and teaching along with her knowledge learned from being a farm family.

Meggan Hiestand (), Illinois Ag in the Classroom, mcaitc@sbcglobal.net;
Meggan Hiestand, a 7 year veteran of Ag in the Classroom in Marion County, IL. Meggan received a Business Marketing degree from Illinois State University. She and husband Daniel live and work on a beef and grain farm in rural Salem, IL. They have 4 children: Brandt, Alex, Kage and Kennah. Meggan goes into all the second and fourth grade classrooms and makes presentations about Agriculture and Conservation in Marion County. Meggan has combined her degree in marketing, love of children and first hand knowledge about agriculture in her job working for Ag in the Classroom.
