How Can I Actually Curb Truancy and School Refusal

Approximately 2-5% children struggle with coming to school due to anxiety or depression. Due to the serious long-term social and educational consequences associated with missing school, the issue has to be addressed quickly and effectively with a team approach involving teachers, parents, administrators, support staff, as well as community agencies. The goal of this session is to provide school professionals with tools, strategies, and intervention recommendations in supporting this population of students.
