Future Applications for Electric Road Technologies
A brief background of Swedish conditions as a driving force for the introduction of Electric Road Systems ERS is given and then a future use case. Electric road technology can be used in a wider perspective for all types of electric vehicles that will be powered and charged in many different places both in cities and on highways automatically. The effect would be a reduced need for the amount of batteries and enabling self-driving electric vehicles.

Conny Börjesson has a B.Sc. within electrical engineering and has extensive competence in the automotive industry from Saab Automobile, Volvo Cars and GM. Currently engaged as Senior Researcher at RISE Viktoria and has been involved in state of the art problems related to electrical road systems as well as inductive charging for stationary cars.
