Advocating for CMV Awareness Without Legislation

Everyone would like to have legislation, but what do you do when the timing is not right politically? This session will focus on non-legislative opportunities to make an impact. The session will highlight collaborative efforts in Oklahoma with public health officials at local and state levels. Additionally, participants will learn about opportunities to make local impacts and develop relationships to make a lasting change in their jurisdiction.

  • Participants will learn opportunities to engage local and state public health officials.
  • Participants will be able to identify three avenues of engagement with local and state elected officials.
  • Participants will get lessons learned and best practices while advocating for positive change.
