This webinar will provide participants an overview of the language access requirements under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and subsequent guidance on language access provided by the Department of Justice.
- Articulate the legal requirements for language access under Title VI, other federal, and state laws and regulations
- Apply the Four Factor Analysis for language access under Title Vi.
- Identify resources to assist in grantee compliance

Cannon Han is a Senior Program Associate with API. He has over ten years of experience providing technical assistance and training to programs on: Title VI compliance and advocacy; language access; interpretation; and translation. Prior to re-joining API, he was the Title VI Administrator for Caltrain and the San Mateo Transit District. He also served as a Senior Court Services Analyst with the California Administrative Office of the Courts, Court Interpreter Program, and an attorney with the Mental Health Advocacy Project.
