Optimistic Teaming: Where Collective Efficacy Meets Mindfulness
Team work in the modern-day school setting is so much more than a motivational poster hanging on our wall. Effective teaming and operationalizing our collective actions as educators is officially a science--and a process. Attendees will learn more about the science behind teaming through the lens of optimism and what it takes to help educators believe they can influence student achievement.
- Introduce attendees to the work of V. Mark Durand and a review of Jenni Donohoo's take on collective efficacy.
- Provide real-life examples to attendees about how to apply the work of V. Mark Durand and components of collective efficacy.
- Provide attendees with ready-to-use tools to share with their teams working with students exhibiting behavioral problems and teams working in special education.
