Using Dyad Reading to Improve Reading Outcomes
Dyad reading engages struggling readers in grades 2 and up in complex text with the scaffolding of a more capable peer that has a huge impact on student reading performance. This strategy takes 15 minutes a day and is a powerful replacement strategy for silent reading. The typical progress students make in dyad reading is 2-3 years in one year of instruction. If you have students who have room for improvement in their reading development, this is a instructional strategy that you must have!
