How to Create a Road Map for Interventions when working with DV offenders

This workshop will walk participants through the process of using the information available through any of the validated assessments (LSI, RANT, PSR-I, etc) into the art of drafting a treatment plan that is purposely targeting criminogenic needs when working with DV offenders.

  • Participants will become familiar with the 8 criminogenic needs.
  • Participants will learn to incorporate risk and need into treatment planning decisions and drafting of goals and objectives.
  • Participants will understand the importance of reassessing participants progress during treatment episodes.

Karla Arroyo is the Director at Multicultural Counseling Center, Merari Lopez is a Victim Advocate for the West Valley Police Department and Valeria Torres is a Crime Reparations Officer at the Utah Office of Victims of Crime. Their shared professional experience brings over 30 years of providing direct services and their own reflexivity as Latina immigrants.
