Classroom Cultures and Collective Efficacy

This session is designed to promote a school culture in which the idea of Collective Efficacy incorporates the students. This concept is known as Collective Classroom Efficacy. The intended goal is for educators to learn how to increase student engagement in the learning process and increase student outcomes. This session will be based on the research done by Goddard, Hoy, Hattie, Harris, and others in the fields of Collective Efficacy. The session also aligns with Collective Efficacy within the MTSS strand.

  • Educators will gain knowledge on what Collective Classroom Efficacy is.
  • Educators will learn strategies to implement and increase Collective Classroom Efficacy in their classrooms with a focus on effective strategies and student outcomes.
  • Educators will analyze their beliefs and attitudes surrounding Collective Efficacy in their schools.
