Dirty Fingers, Inspired Minds!
Explore the process of soil formation and the important properties soil provides to plant life in this fun hands-on workshop. Participants will engage in lessons that use soil as a context to teach math, science and social studies standards learning about the process of soil formation, filtration and nutrient level testing. Walk away with three lessons to add to your soil unit and the materials to integrate the curriculum into your classroom!

Brittany is the Education Programs Coordinator at Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom. Formerly, a high school agricultural sciences teacher, Brittany uses her classroom experience to aid in the development of curriculum that will empower students and instructors with educational advancement experiences through the context of agriculture. Brittany is a graduate of Oregon State University where she received a Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural Sciences and a Master's of Science in Agricultural Education.
