Guiding Principles for Implementing School-wide Social-Emotional Screening
School-wide, social emotional screening for students helps schools understand students’ needs and then develop tiered instructional strategies that match the needs of students. Proactive screening and early intervention can benefit all students and help prevent the wait-to-fail way of doing business. This presentation will discuss a rationale for school-wide screening, screening measures, and legal and ethical aspects of screening.
