Power-Conscious Approaches to Addressing IPV

In tis session, we will examine the relationship between awareness, prevention, and response to IPV. Further, we will examine strategies to address IPV from a power-conscious, intersectional lens focused on primary prevention, including a focus on perpetration.

  • To examine the differences between awareness, prevention, and response to IPV
  • To consider strategies for engaging in prevention of IPV
  • To understand the ways IPV impacts various minoritized communities in different ways than dominant communities
