Implementing Positive Behavior Supports in the Preschool Classroom using Prevent, Teach, Reinforce
The session will clearly explain the importance of utilizing Positive Behavior Supports in the preschool classroom and why they are essential in creating a high-quality preschool class. Prevent, Teach, Reinforce is supported by research and and aligns with the use of Positive Behavior Supports in the process of behavior change. It supports and demonstrates the importance of utilizing classroom-wide strategies first, teaching replacement behaviors, and using positive reinforcement even in early childhood settings. The Instructor will provide you with useful strategies that can easily be implemented into the classroom, examples, demonstration videos, and useful handouts.

D. Rachelle Blair has over 26 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, special need, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has supported individuals across the lifespan, however, her focused has been on Early Childhood the past 18 years. She has a Masters Degree in Education - Applied Behavior Analysis, and Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Special Education and Sociology. She is a licensed Early Childhood Special Educator in Utah. She currently is the Behavior Specialist for the Jordan Child Development Center and supports families and children in the Early Intervention Program and students in Jordan School Districts Preschool Program.
