MTSS 101: A Framework for Success

This session will give an introduction to MTSS for beginners. The presenter will discuss the critical components of MTSS and give examples at all levels. Additional resources will shared for participants that would like more information.

  • Participants will be able to define MTSS
  • Participants will understand the critical components of MTSS
  • Participants will be able to discuss MTSS at the school, LEA and state level and know where to get more information.

Presenters/Authors

Heidi Mucha (), University of Utah, heidi.mucha@utah.edu;
Dr. Mucha is part of the evaluation team for the Utah Multi-tiered System of Support (UMTSS) federal grant. She is also adjust faculty in the Special Education Department at the University of Utah. Her doctoral degree is in School Psychology and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Utah.
