The Sky's the Limit: The Future of Precision Agriculture

This presentation will focus on the latest developments and uses of drones to further precision agriculture to levels that would never have been possible without drone technology. Drones can be outfitted with numerous types of sensors that aid farmers and ranchers with everything from growing healthy crops to tracking livestock in formidable terrain.

Melanie works as the state contact for Agriculture in the Classroom which is housed in the state department of agriculture. In addition, she handles policy and research issues. Melanie sees agriculture education as a vital component to the future of well-developed agriculture policy.
