Robyn Herr (), Nevada EHDI, robyn@nvhandsandvoices.org;
Robyn is a mom of two boys. Her youngest was born profoundly deaf and uses bilateral cochlear implants. Her family started learning ASL right away and has used signing as a support in daily communication. Her family connected with a Parent Guide shortly after her son was born. They received tremendous support and developed many friendships with other families within the D/HH community. Over the next few years, she was actively involved with Hands & Voices activities as well as volunteering. In the summer of 2020, she became a Parent Guide. A year later she also took on the role of follow-up coordinator for the NV EHDI Program where she guides families through the process of follow up care and proper diagnosis when their baby doesn’t pass the newborn hearing screening at the hospital. She enjoys connecting families with resources, services, and support that they need along this journey.
