Standards Referenced Grading as a System of Support
Most would not equate grading and learning as a system of support. The tenets and structures of standards referenced grading, done correctly, do just that. Learning expectations are clear, and students can evaluate where they need support in their learning. This presentation will show you the seven-year process of implementing standards-referenced grading including learning goals, proficiency scales, and student tracking. The process of creating learning goals and writing proficiency scales will be focused upon.
- Understand major tenets of Standards Based Grading
- Go through the process of writing learning goals and proficiency scales with provided templates.
