Beefing Up Math
Attendees will learn all about the beef industry by doing three different activities. First they will be doing Farm To You “Feeding Frenzy” where they learn all about the different feeds that beef cattle eat. Secondly, they will do an activity out of our Beef: A Healthy Option lesson where they will learn the nutritional importance of eating beef. Lastly, attendees will beef up their math skill while also learning about the different beef breeds by doing a worksheet out of our new Beefing Up Math project.

Judy Culbertson, Executive Director of California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, grew up on a fifth generation pear orchard in Courtland, a small town just outside of Sacramento. Judy attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business. Judy has been with Ag in the Classroom for more than 30 years and strives to teach California students and teachers where their food and fiber comes from.
