Intersecting Vulnerabilities: Opioid Use among Criminal Justice Populations in Appalachia
This presentation will provide a snapshot of opioid use in the criminal justice system to provide a better understanding of prevalence among criminal justice involved individuals. Trends are considered in light of state and national policy changes. Discussion will also include current research on the barriers and facilitators to implementing various policies.

Amanda M. Bunting is a doctoral candidate and National Institute on Drug Abuse predoctoral trainee at the University of Kentucky. Her research focuses on reentry and health outcomes for criminal justice involved individuals.
