New MacDonald has a Drone: Technology & Perceptions in Accurate Ag Books

Picture books, especially for students in urban areas, are sometimes the only introduction or exposure students have to agriculture and agricultural topics. Too often these books are crammed with antiquated farming practices, stereotypes, and misconceptions. In this session Lisl H. Detlefsen, author of TIME FOR CRANBERRIES and RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE, will explore the importance of accurate ag books getting technology and perceptions right so that readers may understand where their food comes from, who grows it, and how now, in the 21st century, ag is a whole lot of STEM.
