Raising a DHH Child, my Hispanic perspective

Raising a DHH child as a Hispanic mother has been an unexpected experience that led me to a position of support for my community. During this presentation I will share my lived experience and learning opportunities that have allowed me to walk alongside the Hispanic community and provide support through the Hands & Voices Programs in Indiana.

  • The audience will gain better understanding about the Hispanic community.
  • The audience will learn about strategies and considerations to better support the Hispanic community.
  • The audience will learn about differences and similarities between the Deaf Community and the Hispanic Community.
