How to Create an Efficient and Effective NBHS Follow-up\Diagnostic ABR Program

Boston Children's Hospital has developed a research and evidence based Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) evaluation practice. The ABR services provided at Boston Children’s Hospital directly support the newborn hearing screening program in the state of Massachusetts. Audiologists from Boston Children's Hospital will share details regarding ABR protocol creation, scheduling requirements, test interpretation, troubleshooting, and reporting.

  • Identify tools necessary to create an efficient and effective diagnostic ABR program
  • Gain awareness of research based protocol structure
  • Understand the importance of communication with referral sources and EIPs
