Food Loss and the Role Pesticides Play from Field to Market: Free Resources for the Classroom

Reducing food waste and loss has become a focus along the entire food chain and is an important conversation to have with students. For students pursuing a career in ag, it’s even more important to understand how reducing loss begins at the farm level. The conversation on food loss also creates the opportunity to discuss why and how farmers use pesticides to grow efficiently. Come to this session to gather free teaching resources and learn more about how farmers use pesticide technology to prevent damage to crops and grow heartier foods that last longer.
