Experience a LIVE Tier 2 "School of Life" Class!
The School of Life program is an after school character Ed. program that is committed to the social, moral, and character development of youth. Schools are implementing this program as a Tier 2 PBIS/MTSS system to enhance their school culture.
The data and outcomes of this program have been studies and recently written about in the following document: Hawken, L., Wayman, G., Wright, H., Fleming, J., O’Donnell, K., & Rolfe, J. (2018). Effects of School of Life after-school program on grade advancement, dropout and attendance: A descriptive study. Manuscript in preparation.
The purpose of this breakout is to provide a live, Tier 2 learning experience to attendees in the same manner that it is delivered within the classroom during a School of Life class, and thus discover for themselves the power of this program, and why it leads to significant change in student behavior.
Participants will experience videos, stories, receive homework assignments, and have the opportunity to participate by sharing their own personal experiences related to the subject matter. Participants will walk away from the breakout with clear objectives just as an actual student would in a School of Life class.
- The objective is to provide a live, Tier 2 learning experience to attendees in the same manner that it is delivered within the classroom during a School of Life class, and thus discover for themselves the power of this program, and why it leads to significant change in student behavior.

- Participants will understand the data outcomes and behavior support the School of Life behavior program provides to schools and ultimately leads to increased graduation rates.

Justin Keate is currently the Assistant Principal at Desert Hills High School in St. George, UT. Justin has a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students and has been involved in education as a teacher/administrator for 14 years. At Desert Hills High School, Justin collaborated with Jack Rolfe to bring the School of Life program into schools as a positive alternative to traditional restitution programs. The impact was immediate and after seeing results with students in improved attitude, GPA, and graduation rates he shared this program and supporting data with other colleagues and School of Life seeing remarkable success in many schools. Justin is passionate about education and improving educational practices through positive behavior reinforcement. Justin has a BA degree in German/History and Masters in Educational Leadership. Justin has a beautiful wife Jennifer and 6 kids and loves spending quality time with them.

Kip Kint

Kip currently serves as the Director of Training Services for the School of Life foundation as well as lead trainer in several schools. Kip has more than 20 years of business and leadership experience, having worked in leadership positions for large, successful companies such as WordPerfect, Novell, FranklinCovey and BNI. Kip has been an Executive Trainer and Success Coach for over 20 years. He is a Certified FranklinCovey Coach, an effectiveness expert, and has extensive experience as a Success Coach, Trainer, and Keynote Speaker. Clients of note have come from prominent organizations such as the U.S. Department of Justice, The United Nations, Allied Waste/Republic Services, The New York Stock Exchange, Disney, Microsoft, BNI and many others.
