The Role of Early Intervention Services in Supporting Multicultural Families

The natural environment is important to families, especially those who are multicultural. As the perceptions of natural environments and family-centered philosophy. Cultural diversity is based on the conclusion of developmental and ecological theories of child development prominent in the field of early childhood education. It is essential to understanding that there are factors about early intervention that must be considered when working with multicultural families, such as offering insight and understanding of the framework to the early interventionists so they may gain knowledge of the cultural influence and how it will increase the number of families interested in receiving services from the early intervention provider. The goals are to bridge the gap between research and practice in early intervention, and to explore how early intervention services can be delivered to deaf and hard of hearing children who are part of diverse families and communities.

  • To empower parents to remain involved in their child’s education and choose the best learning environment based on the child’s individual needs.
  • Using multiple teaching strategies to reach to the families and support them.
  • Professionals will establish satisfying interpersonal relationships through the exchanging of ideas and reflections.
