EHDI Responsibility vs Collaboration -Where Is The line?

Highly successful state EHDI programs achieve their success in very different ways. Both the CDC cooperative agreement and the HRSA grant are “one size fits all”. How do we, as EHDI Coordinators resolve some of the inevitable conflicts that arise from federal requests that don’t fit with how our state individual grant recipients have structured authority, funding, staffing and collaborative opportunities? How do we address the disparities in where states are in the process of developing programs and their capabilities? This presentation will explore some of those challenges along with how to identify the issues, write responsive and realistic workplans to fulfill those requirements and address those conflicts positively. This session will include an interactive portion where small groups will be able to brainstorm ideas and solutions as well as share with the group.
