First Responder Best Practices
I will discuss how to recognize if someone has overdosed, what to do if someone has overdosed and the resources available through the poison control center. I can also speak to understanding the process, resources,, and how various public health and public safety professionals can work together.

Dr. Crouch is the executive director of the Utah Poison Control Center and Professor (Clinical), Department of Pharmacotherapy, University of Utah College of Pharmacy. She received a BS in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, a Doctor of Pharmacy degree jointly administered by the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed a Clinical Toxicology Fellowship at the Maryland Poison Center of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She holds a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Utah and is a diplomat of the American Board of Applied Toxicology. She has over 30 years experience in poison control and clinical toxicology.
