Melanie Bruck
(), Loess Hills AITC, mbruck@iowaagliteracy.org;
- Melanie Bruck is the education program coordinator for Loess Hills Agriculture in the Classroom, a regional effort of the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation. Before starting full-time with Loess Hills AITC, Bruck worked for 16 years with her husband running their family beef, corn and soybean farm and raising their two sons. Being a part of the day to day operations has developed a new appreciation about where our food comes from, and what it takes to grow it. After volunteering in her son’s elementary school, she decided to take what she had learned “on the farm” and apply it to a career in agriculture literacy. Her passion for teaching and love of those who love to farm now inspires others to learn about where their food comes from and why that knowledge is important.
