Usher Syndrome a Journey from Diagnosis to Services
A diverse and dynamic team of parents of children with and individuals with Usher syndrome will share their experiences. They will share their personal journeys from birth through the obstacles, challenges and outcomes of early intervention.
The Panel will not only share their experiences, but will also share what they wished everyone knew about Usher Syndrome, the ups, downs and the opportunities.

Robert Hill

Robert has called South Carolina home for 6 years where he serves as the State consultant for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing with the South Carolina Department of Education. Additionally, Robert is the state director for the State DeafBlind Project which is an interagency agreement between the South Carolina Department of Education and the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind.
Robert holds a Ed.S., in Special Education, M.A., in Deaf Education, and M.Ed. in Education and Administration (Curriculum and Instruction). He is currently pursuing a course work in a M.A. in Teaching of impairment. He also holds graduate certificates in Early Childhood Education and English as a Second Language.
